Jérôme Schilling competing for the Bocuse d´Or France

The Hotel & Restaurant LALIQUE at Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey will be officially represented by its Michelin-starred chef, Jérôme Schilling at the next Bocuse d´Or France 2021 competition.

6 candidates, 2 sessions, 1 chance to defend France’s place in the global culinary landscape. Who will be Davy Tissot’s successor as France’s representative at the Bocuse d’Or 2023?

We will find out on the evening of Tuesday 23 November during the Bocuse d’Or France which will be held at the Reims convention center.

The first step in a new series of itinerant meetings which will lead the France selection every two years from one large French city to another, the destination in Reims is more than symbolic. At the heart of a prestigious vineyard, “Reims is world-famous for its champagne and a hotbed of French gastronomy,” says Arnaud Robinet, the mayor of Reims. The whole city is proud to welcome the prestigious Bocuse d’Or France. This exceptional event confirms the attractiveness and influence of our territory. More than ever, gastronomy is an integral part of our identity! As proof, two of the great Michelin-starred chefs of Reims will be present during this event: Arnaud Lallement (L’Assiette Champenoise) will be the sponsor of the 2021 edition of Bocuse d’Or France and Philippe Mille (Les Crayères), including the Trophée which bears his name will take place the day before in the same Palais des Congrès.

A new ordeal

As soon as the grand final of the Bocuse d’Or is over, on September 27 at Sirha Lyon, the French selection begins again for Team France chaired by Serge Vieira.

This French final promises to be more dynamic than ever with an event which now takes place in 4 hours, ie 1 hour less than usual. Each candidate will have to imagine an appetizer dealing with the same markers and products that will be found in the stage test.
